TCUK visit Wednesbury RFC
Friday 12th September 2025
This week, Trade Centre UK had the pleasure of meeting the passionate duo Kevin Ferris Club Chair and Donna Thomas Safety Manager – along with committee members of Wednesbury RFC.
Brand ambassador for Trade Centre UK, Mike Doyle spoke highly of his visit:
“We had a brilliant tour of the clubhouse-from the snack bar and dining area, through to the concert room, and the old school room at the back, complete with karaoke! They’re a happy bunch, and it was great to meet some of the senior players too. I felt very much at home! ”

Wednesbury RFC was founded in 1921 and is a proud community club with over a century of history. Trade Centre UK are delighted to have sponsored all members’ kits, and the club are excited to soon welcome former Welsh rugby legend and Trade Centre UK brand ambassador Gareth “Alfie” Thomas, who will be delivering one of his renowned masterclasses.
The visit highlighted everything that makes Wednesbury RFC special- a proud history, a welcoming community, and a strong commitment to grassroots rugby.
Trade centre UK’S support is helping the club grow both on and off the pitch as it continues to invest in its community engagement programme to strengthen communities like Wednesbury to be the best they can be. Mark Bailey founder and Director of Trade Centre UK said:
“It’s fantastic to see the community spirit at Wednesbury RFC. Clubs like this are the beating heart of grassroots sport, and we’re proud to support them.”
And of course, no visit would be complete without mentioning that Wednesbury RFC proudly boasts the tallest rugby posts on the planet – so tall, in fact, that a special crane was needed to erect them!
