Trade Centre UK Supports Yewtree Community Centre

As part of Trade Centre UK’s community engagement programme, we are pleased to support Yewtree Community Centre by providing much-needed equipment that will help them continue their valuable work in the local community.

During a recent visit, Trade Centre UK could clearly see the impact Yewtree Community Centre has and the need for some practical support. Through the community engagement budget, Trade Centre UK is helping by providing a new gazebo to support outdoor activities and a new bingo machine to enhance one of the centre’s most popular social sessions.

Yewtree Community Centre is a well-used community space that works tirelessly to bring people together and combat loneliness. The centre regularly hosts bingo sessions, and monthly warm dinners, particularly supporting elderly residents and those in need.

Anne, who manages Yewtree Community Centre, said:

“We try to put on bingo and monthly warm dinners for elderly residents and those in need. It’s really important for people to have somewhere to come, socialise, and feel part of the community.”

She also shared how much a recent visit from Trade Centre UK meant, adding that Mike Doyle really cheered everyone up.

The centre also supports after-school activities and inclusive projects that help different community groups come together, encouraging integration and reducing isolation.

Mark Bailey, Founder and Director of Trade Centre UK, said:

As part of this support, Mike Doyle, Ambassador for Trade Centre Wales, has promised that once the new bingo machine is in place, he will return to host a game of bingo himself, helping to bring even more fun and connection to the centre.
