The Trade Centre UK to open first superstore in England on Easter weekend
The Trade Centre UK will open its doors to customers in the West Midlands for the first time on Easter weekend.
The group’s first car superstore in England will open its 12-acre site on Darlaston Road, in Wednesbury, on 14 April 2017, with 1,500 used cars on display.
Multi-million pound investment
Formerly a Carcraft superstore, the facility has seen a multi-million pound investment to transform the space ahead of the launch, with a team of 90 people working around the clock for three months to give it a complete make-over.
“We’re so excited to be finally opening our doors to customers in the West Midlands,” said Andy Coulthurst, CEO of Trade Centre UK. “Fantastic customer service, high professional standards and value for money are at the heart of what we do, and we can’t wait to be able to offer this to the local community.”
The new Wednesbury superstore has created 200 new full-time jobs across sales, administration and vehicle preparation, and will act as both the retail operation and central preparation facility for additional stores the group hopes to establish in the West Midlands region.
The business has already begun the process of playing an active part in the local community and has met with local sports teams and organisations to lend its support with kit sponsorships and donations.
“Looking forward to growth”
Mr Coulthurst added: “We want to play a positive role in the community in which we operate, which is why we are actively looking into ways in which we can support local sports teams and other organisations.
“Meanwhile, we are confident that our first store in England will be appreciated by value-driven car shoppers, and we look forward to establishing and growing our brand throughout the UK.”
