The West Midland’s leading used car retailer Trade Centre UK is well on track to reach its target of raising £30,000 across the month of September for the NSPCC and Childline. For each of the first thousand cars it sells this month, Trade Centre UK is donating £30. Once complete, this unique fundraising initiative will take the total amount the Trade Centre group has raised for the NSPCC over past 8 years to over £350,000.

 

The September fundraiser is supported by a specially created campaign of radio commercials featuring Childline founder Dame Esther Rantzen. These are being aired on commercial radio stations across the region.

 

Trade Centre UK’s target of £30,000 is the amount it costs Childline to run its service for the whole of the UK for a day. An average of 3,456 children contact Childline every day for free confidential help. As well as its telephone helpline Childline, which is now run by the NSPCC, also engages with young people via its website and confidential online chatroom.
