Regional Operations Manager of British Car Auctions (BCA), Robin Wilde receives £600 sponsorship from The Trade Centre UK following his 250-mile cycle ride from Bedford to Holland. Robin and his team raised money for Action for A-T, A Charity set up to fund medical research to help identify a cure for Ataxia Telangiectasia (A-T). Action for A-T’s sole focus is to raise funds to drive research and awareness of A-T.

On day 1, the crew of 60 cyclists from BCA, together with individuals from the wider motor industry, travelled from Bedford to Harwich where they caught a ferry to the Hook of Holland. On the second day, the team proceeded on the very popular route where they completed the second half of the 250-mile journey to Amsterdam.

The entire team raised an estimated £100,000 in aid of ‘Action for A-T’ which will help fund an entire A-T research project.

Thankful for The Trade Centre’s generous donation

Regional Operations Director of BCA, Robin Wilde said: “Cycling is a great passion of mine and so I jumped at the opportunity to be part of the team that cycle to Amsterdam. The charity is close to our hearts here at BCA, and so to it was great to do something together as a team to raise some money for a good cause.

“I had a fundraising goal of £2,000, so I am so thankful to Trade Centre Wales for its large donation which gave me a great start. It’s great to see large businesses giving back.”
