Having sponsored the Child of Wales Awards since 2020, the Trade Centre Group just had to be involved with the Child of Britain Awards too. This year, The Trade Centre UK will sponsor the Young Sporting Hero category at the inaugural awards, which will be held on the 24th June at Grosvenor House in London.

The aim of the awards is to recognize and celebrate children and young people who face challenges every day. These individuals are an inspiration to us as they never complain and never give up. The Trade Centre UK would find it impossible to support a more worthwhile cause, making this a very special event.

If the evening is anything like the Child of Wales awards, then it will be an incredible evening and a real treat for the children and their families. And rightly so given the fantastic achievements of those involved.

A stay at a luxurious hotel, a lavish dinner, followed by the ceremony will be topped off with a range of fabulous entertainment, all hosted by Eammon Holmes OBE will make for an incredible experience on the night.

Looking back to the Child of Wales awards, it is easy to see the kind of exceptional children and young people we will see being honored on the evening, like The Child of Wales Young Sporting Hero award winner, Lily Rice, a truly exceptional woman. After beginning her sporting career in swimming at national level, she found her true vocation, wheelchair motocross and hasn’t looked back. Lily doesn’t stop there and loves spending time mentoring and giving talks to other young people, inspiring the next generation and also passing on what she has learnt.

It was Lily’s courage and determination that inspired The Trade Centre UK to choose this category. Mark Bailey, Trade Centre Group founder and owner, says “After being part of the amazing Child of Wales Awards, we knew we wanted to be involved in Child of Britain too. It’s our absolute privilege to sponsor the Young Sporting Hero award, and to help those making a real difference in the lives of the next generation. It’s hard to imagine a more befitting event than one that recognises the contribution of these extraordinary children. Everyone at Trade Centre UK couldn’t agree more and pass on their best wishes for the evening”
